No. SOSPoint notifies your loved ones when a phone call is not possible. It is an additional channel to emergency services, not a replacement. In case of immediate danger to life, always call 911 first.
SOSPoint needs mobile data or Wi-Fi to send your location. Without a signal, the alert cannot be delivered. SOSPoint will send your location as soon as you have even a weak signal.
Only the trusted contacts you add in the app, and only during an active SOS session. Location sharing starts when you press SOS and stops when you press STOP or after 5 hours.
Your data is stored on secure SOSPoint servers and is used only to operate the app: account, SOS sessions, trusted contacts, notifications, and live location during an active SOS situation.
